As soon as this game was announced it had me hyped, I loved the concept behind it. Finding your own killer... Genius!!!
Then up until release when they were bringing out little snippets of the game, it still had me hooked. It looked fantastic, the concept still appealed to me! A Story where I have to find my own killer... So I'm a ghost... NICE!
The game releases and I get my hands on a copy, and not everything changes, but my view of the game changes slightly. For me the game looks as though it has been made for Xbox 360 and PS3 and then ported over to next gen consoles! Im sure if I was buying the 360 version of this game then I would be singing a different tune, however the next gen versions look as though Square Enix haven't even tried to accomplish anything of the standards that they set with Tomb Raider. This seems to take a step back in that sense.
Here is a look at the first hour of gameplay!

One thing that really grinds my gears with games is when you have to load to get to a different area. This game should have been a purely open world game, where you could go to each section and do as you please, complete the little side missions in your own time, however this game stick to a more linear focus, which kind of makes it easy to know where you're going. If you want to look at it another way, it puts limits on what you can do, and for me a game like this should have been open world!
The AI characters in the game are repetitive and there's no change in their reaction, its pretty much a constant loop. Again all characters look standard to previous gen graphics, when you look at standards that Watch_Dogs, and even Tomb Raider have set in that sense, again, this looks very sub par to me.
However I still absolutely love the idea and concept of the game, its one of those type of games where, there isn't much danger to be had, you're entangled in a mystery in which you have to solve. The only problem being that, the problem your solving is your own murder! :wassat:
You're basically going from place to place looking for clues, possessing people to get information in whichever way you can. This may include reading notepads, hearing a person's thoughts or eavesdropping on a conversation. There's also additional little missions within the game where you are trying to help other people who are trying to 'Move On'. Usually involving searching for clues and piecing together how they died and what they need to do to move on.
I heard nothing about this game until it was released & like yourself I really enjoyed the through about solving my own murder. I thought the graphics were good but yes this is a 360 game. There is deffo a gap in the market for more games of this genre & I would love to see more of them. Quite a quick game also but its another easy 1000G if you are into that sort of thing
